Hidden Pearl Hijab Review

A hijab is something close to me. I started to wear my hijab when I was in my 8th Grade and then it was ON and off and my hijab collection grew with me. Mostly I would prefer the readymades which are stitched for some reason but later changed my collections to the wonderful piece of cloth.

Hijab according to me should me comfortable and beautiful. It should be breathable too. Being an Indian my most collections would be Pashnima shawls or the stoles. But now the list is a good number. When Hidden pearls contacted me I readily accepted to review it. The parcel came after a long wait as it had to cross boundaries. As soon I opened the parcel I was able to see a handwritten card with a welcome message. It attracted me the most. And the scarves maa shaa allah! It was very soft. Being a mommy of a toddler-to-be I have few criterias when selecting a hijab

  1. Should be easy to drape and not fly in air and it should be intact in place.
  2. Should be breathable and beautiful as it adds the interest on the beholder
  3. Should be long enough so I can cover my hair as well as my big chest
  4. Should be in place with the tucks as I don’t want to risk with the baby by using pins
  5. Should be mommy/toddler friendly

I was asked a couple of choices and I did select  Diamante  and Tassel grey.

Diamante is a 100% cotton and I really felt very light when wearing it. I wore the hijab on a dinner date with my family where we had spent approximately 2 hours and in this condition, the hijab was in place without any complaints.

We had a surprising snow time which happened during the first week of December and you won’t believe how excited I was and the way I jumped in joy was crazy of course. My toddler would have thought what the hell mama is doing? In a hurry I had to wear tassel grey hijab. This was so breathable and I felt it couldn’t be worn without an undercap the moment I received it. But I was proven wrong as without the undercover it stayed in position. But ofcourse for the excitement I had and dancing in the snow with my toddler it had to move from place.

The hijabs all washed well and didn’t lose colour or get damaged in an ordinary (40 degree) wash.

  1. It looks so beautiful. And its good that it stays in place with just tucks because you rightly said you would want to avoid pins with a toddler around.
On another note, I just loved your snow pics..I can almost feel your excitement and happiness just by looking at the glee on your face.
